Sergio Cámara Izquierdo is a full-time tenured professor of Political Economy at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana-Azcapotzalco, Mexico City, where he is Head of the Department of Economics. He is member Executive Council of the Latinamerican Society of Political Economy and Critical Thought (SEPLA) and of the Council of the International Initiative for Promoting Political Economy (IIPPE), and of the Editorial Boards of Review of Radical Political Economics and Análisis Económico. He has been distinguished Level I of the National System of Researchers (Conacyt) and Teacher with Desirable Profile in the Program of Professors' Professional Development (PRODEP-SEP). He has a Ph.D. degree in Applied Economics from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. His research interests include applied political economy and the Marxian labor theory of value.
